Connect with the breath with this simple kids yoga game

childrens mental health week (Re post feb 20210

Check out this simple kids yoga yoga game with Esther from Cheshire Cat Yoga.

This is a really simple game to help kids calm down - something, as parents, we may be keen to assist with as we’re all together during lockdown.

What materials do you need:

  • Balls - pin pong, pom poms… anything you can get your hands on

  • Paper, tin foil, and anything else you can scrunch into small balls

  • Toys or objects you can create obstacles with

  • Yoga mat (if you have one)

This is a really easy and fun activity to get kids of any age involved with and all you need are balls made of different materials. You can use pom poms or ping pong balls if you have access to them, or simply scrunch up paper, tin foil or anything else you have available.

Then simply get down to the floor and blow the balls.

You can blow them up and down the length of the mat, create races, make an obstacle course - the choice is yours!!
