Meet your Instructor - Faith
Hello! I'm Faith,
I love dancing and being a mum, so when I found out it is possible to do both I couldn't wait to start at DLAM. After having a section with my gorgeous baby I waited until the day I was able to go, and wow, it did not disappoint! I went home and said to my wife, 'thats the job I want'. So I am so thrilled to be starting my DLAM journey and bringing classes to Warrington!
Dancing has been a huge part of my life. I started dancing tap, ballet and modern at the age of 7. Being on stage and sharing the joy of dance is one of my favorite things to do. You can only imagine how happy I was when my baby basically came out dancing! She loves hearing any music and starts dancing straight away, even if it's just the music on an advert!
Being able to share my love of dance and empowering new mums while they maneuver their way around life with a new born is a passion I didn't know I had! I personally found, even through the sleepless nights, tired days and dirty nappies, DLAM was always able to make my day better, and set me up for the week. I’m so excited I now get to bring the DLAM Joy to other Parents too!"

We ask that all Mum’s have had their postnatal checkup and that babies are over 8 weeks old (corrected) and over 7lb in weight. If you have had a C-Section we ask you to wait 10 - 12 weeks before attending. If you are active and have been given the all clear by your health care professional ahead of 12 weeks, please feel free to book and just inform us at booking stage that you had a C-Section.
The age of babies in class ranges from 8 weeks up to 2 Years…however as long as you are comfortable wearing your baby you can come at any age up to toddler. We find that toddlers are happy to attend if they are used to being worn.
Many of our classes do book up in advance, so we always recommend booking ahead if you can. We hear A LOT “I just wish I’d come sooner!”.

No you don’t need your own carrier and they can be loaned for the class for Free [ just tick the box when booking]. All our Instructors are Peer Support or Consultant level Trained and will support you in fitting the carriers safe & comfy for class. We have carriers to fit all body shapes and babies ages. And all our carriers are washed and/or sanitized regularly (from those dribbly baby’s!)
Have your own carrier but need help? No problem, that’s what were here for! We are always happy to help you get your carrier fitted safe and comfortably and even give you some hints and tricks to help too.
We also have lots of information and tutorials on our babywearing page too, which can be found HERE. We also offer 121 sessions and workshops. This can also be found via the link. Some carriers aren’t suitable for class, so if you are unsure please take a look HERE
You won’t need to arrive early for carrier fitting and help, as we sort this during the first 10 minutes of class.

We don’t use narrow based carriers in our classes. These are where your baby's legs dangle straight down (Inc. Baby Bjorn, Mothercare/Mamas & Papas/Aldi own brand, Chicco, Babyway). Unfortunately these don’t provide the best support for the baby's spine or hips, especially for movement or activity. Many of these carriers also don’t provide good neck support. Don’t worry we aren’t leaping around! But we do want them to have good support on the nape of their neck, especially those who don’t have neck control yet.
We also ask you not to use Stretchy wraps, as they can sag and not offer enough support for class. These are amazing for newborns, but just not supportive enough for class.
If you are new to class, your instructor will contact you ahead of time to check If you require a carrier. But you can find out more about carriers not suitable HERE

No not at all! Two left feet are always welcome! Plus everyone is sleep deprived anyway! Our classes are active, but low impact and more about having fun, bonding with your baby and doing something for yourself. We believe in empowering women in their new found body and just enjoying getting active and having fun.
We have Mums, Dads and carers attend with all different fitness and dance abilities. Our routines are easy to follow and as all our Instructors have a Dance background, they will break everything down for you. It's just about having fun…defiantly NOT about getting the moves right!

YES! We have had many twin and multiple Mums and Dads attend over the years. There is NO extra charge (the booking is for you, not them). We have a few options of how you can all take part in class. We will support you in making sure you are all feeling happy and safe and are happy to try whatever works best for you.
Our Instructors are more than happy to wear one of your babies for class. All our Instructors have carried their own babies in classes and are excellent at helping to keep your little one happy and calm throughout.
You can bring someone else for no extra charge and they can dance with you and carry one of your babies.
If they are sitting unaided you can tandem wear them. This is where you wear one on the back and one on the front. We have carriers that we can fit you in and get you all safe and comfy for class.
You can have one baby in the carrier and one in a car seat/pram.
We just ask that you get in touch with the instructor prior to booking if you would like the instructor to wear one of your babies. You can find their email on the timetable for the class you wish to attend.
When you book on there is an option to say you are bringing twins/multiples, so please just tick this.

We have older kids join us in class and dance alongside Mum or Dad. There is no extra charge for this. We even have teddy carriers available so they can join in! Or bring an i-pad & snacks…no judgment here! We just ask that you keep an eye on them and ensure they don’t become a trip hazard! The instructor may ask you to dance at the front/side to avoid them getting under foot.
In the holidays we have lots of older children attending. It's a great chance to do something as a family and get your older kids involved in a fun activity together.

YES! We have had many Mums in classes who are attending with their baby and also pregnant and those who are coming with bump for a dance.
It’s a great way to stay gently active, bond with your baby and meet other Mums and Parents in your area.
If you are attending with your baby and are pregnant, that’s not a problem. We can support you to babywear safely while pregnant and support you in any way we can to keep attending classes.
We just ask that you get the go ahead from your healthcare practitioner before attending class.
